Thomson discusses Stokowski's performances of Thomson's works; his attention to studying scores; his card catalog of scores he had studied and wished to perform; his Bach transcriptions; changes in Stokowski's conducting after age 50; and Toscanini's performances and attitudes towards Stokowski and Thomson. Thomson also mentions Lucia Davidova, Greta Garbo, Evangeline Johnson, and a story from Olga Samaroff about Stokowski's "intense Polishness."
